Holcim recently coordinated a seamless concrete pour for a large warehouse slab using over 132 cubic metres of high-quality concrete. From early-morning batching to completing the job, our integrated team delivered a high-performance slab without compromise, backed by Holcim’s leading logistics capabilities and technical expertise.
The project was supplied by our Waipapa concrete team in the Bay of Islands. Concrete installation was completed by Mike Penny from M&S Contractors, with the pour delivered efficiently and to a high standard. The contractor and client were both very pleased with the quality of the concrete, the reliability of delivery, and the level of customer service. Site feedback noted that Holcim’s drivers were a pleasure to work with, consistently following site protocols and communicating clearly throughout the day.
With Holcim’s robust supply network, trucks arrived on time and in sequence, ensuring a continuous pour and eliminating cold joints. The concrete mix was designed to optimise strength, workability, and placement efficiency. Spanning the size of more than three tennis courts, the warehouse slab required well-organised batching and continuous delivery to ensure a seamless, high-quality pour.
