BRANZ Appraisal

The SuperSlab system has been independently assessed by the Building Research Association of New Zealand (BRANZ). This appraisal confirms that SuperSlab meets the requirements of the New Zealand Building Code for structural integrity and durability, providing confidence to designers, builders, and homeowners.

CodeMark Certification

SuperSlab holds CodeMark certification, a nationally recognised building product assurance scheme. Under CodeMark, building consent authorities are required to accept the product as complying with the Building Code when used in accordance with the certificate, helping streamline approvals and reduce project delays.

A ribbed “waffle” structure foundation distributes weight efficiently, providing a stronger floor than a conventional 100 mm mesh slab. Superslab™ performs reliably across a wide range of ground types, including low-bearing soils.

Faster Installation and Less Excavation

The modular design reduces site preparation and earthwork wait times. Experienced contractors can complete a Superslab™ installation in around three days, significantly faster than conventional foundation systems.

Sustainable Design Options

Superslab™can be built using pod void formers made from recycled plastics. Plastic pods replace traditional polystyrene pods, cutting site waste, excessive trimming time, transport costs, and landfill impact while maintaining full structural performance.

Improved Thermal Performance

Superslab™ foundations deliver higher R-values than conventional slabs. For enhanced insulation, Superslab™ can be utilised with any edge form products and under-slab formwork to create a fully thermally broken foundation, ideal for in-slab heating and compliance with H1 Energy Efficiency requirements.

Superslab™ is designed for a wide range of applications and soil classifications across New Zealand.
