Building Better in Kerikeri with ECOPact®
Holcim Waipapa pours first residential floor using ECOPact low-carbon concrete
In the heart of Northland’s stunning Bay of Islands, Kerikeri is known for its natural beauty, thriving horticulture, and strong sense of community. It’s also a place where growth and sustainability go hand in hand, making it a fitting location for Holcim’s latest low-carbon milestone.
At daybreak, our Waipapa team was on site to deliver 41.3 cubic metres of ECOPact concrete for a residential slab which can reduce embodied carbon by at least 30%*. The pour was the first ECOPact residential floor completed by Holcim’s Waipapa team and completed in collaboration with M&S Contractors at Penny Homes.
This project highlights what happens when innovation meets trusted local service. ECOPact helps customers reduce the carbon footprint of their buildings without compromising on quality or performance — and it’s now available from Holcim across Aotearoa New Zealand.
The ECOPact range is the industry’s broadest offering of low-carbon concrete for sustainable construction. We’re proud to work with respected regional leaders like Penny Homes, a family-owned builder known for innovative, robust homes.
