Holcim Weston Project on hold

6 October 2011

In light of the uncertainty created by the current global economic environment further consideration of Holcim (New Zealand) Ltd’s Weston Plant Project is now not expected before late next year.

“We appreciate the ongoing support of staff, the local communities and other stakeholders for our proposal to build a new cement plant at Weston, near Oamaru,” said Holcim New Zealand Capital Projects Manager, Ken Cowie.

“We realise that this creates ongoing uncertainty but we will continue to keep people informed.”
