Holcim Cement Terminals wins award for Downer

On 5 August 2016 Downer won the award for projects over $50 million at the Civil Contractors of New Zealand Conference in Auckland for the Holcim Terminals’ Project.
The award is judged by industry peers and recognises all of the hard work over the past two and a half years especially around the commitment to quality and safety.

The award is a hand carved Toki Poutangata (a ceremonial adze). It would usually be held by a rangatira and is a symbol of high authority and mana.
